Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the games published by Rygged Games (Ellis Rygg) on the Google Play Store, including Rygged Solitaire, and to the ryggedgames.com website.
The short version: the apps collect nothing at all. The website collects nothing either, unless you choose to fill in the alpha testing signup form — in which case it stores the email address you type, and nothing more than what is listed below.
Information We Collect — Apps
These apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. No account registration is required. The apps talk to no server operated by Rygged Games and send us no data.
Purchases
Rygged Solitaire offers optional one-time Supporter purchases that unlock minor features. These are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Payment is made to Google, not to Rygged Games, and we never see or receive your name, email address, payment card, or billing address.
To offer these purchases and to keep them unlocked on your device, the app communicates with Google Play — to look up prices and to check what your Google account already owns. Google Play is the only service the app connects to, and this is the only reason it connects. Google's handling of that communication is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Refunds and purchase history are managed through Google Play. Because we hold no record of who bought anything, we cannot look up or reverse a purchase on your behalf.
Device Storage
Each app saves game state and settings locally on your device only. Once a Supporter purchase is made, the app also stores a record of it locally — the item purchased and the purchase token issued by Google Play — so the unlock survives restarts and works offline. This data never leaves your device except when the app sends a purchase back to Google Play for confirmation. Uninstalling the app removes it; purchases themselves remain tied to your Google account and are restored if you reinstall.
Alpha Testing Signup
The website offers a form for asking to join the closed alpha test of an unreleased game. Using it is entirely optional. Simply reading the website stores nothing and sets no cookies.
What is collected when you submit the form: the Google account email address you enter (required); the phone or tablet model and Android version you enter, if you choose to (both optional); the date and time you signed up; and a record that you ticked the consent box.
What is not collected: your IP address is not stored. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no cookie of any kind on this site.
Why: we store it on the basis of the consent you give by ticking the box, for one purpose only — adding you to the Google Play closed test and emailing you the opt-in link and messages about the test itself. It is never used for marketing, never sold, and never shared with anyone beyond what is described here.
Who it is shared with: your email address is uploaded to Google as part of the tester list in Google Play Console. That is unavoidable — it is how Google identifies you as a permitted tester, and it is the entire reason for asking. Google's handling of it is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
How long it is kept: signup records are automatically deleted 24 months after they are created.
Your choices: email ellis@ryggedgames.com at any time to see what is stored about you or to have it deleted. Deletion is immediate and unconditional, and needs no reason.
Third-Party Services
The apps do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Google Play Billing, used only for the optional purchases described above, is the sole third-party service the apps touch.
The website relies on the following service providers:
- Amazon Web Services hosts the website and stores the alpha signup list. Both live in the AWS
us-east-1region in the United States, so if you are outside the US your signup data is transferred there. - Cloudflare Turnstile provides the anti-spam check on the signup form. When the check loads, your IP address and details about your browser and device are sent to Cloudflare, which uses them to decide whether you are a bot. This is covered by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. The check is only loaded once you interact with the form, so if you never use it, your browser never contacts Cloudflare.
Children's Privacy
These apps do not collect any information from anyone, including children. Purchases are subject to Google Play's own controls, including any parental approval settings on the account.
The alpha testing signup form is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). Please do not submit an email address if you are below that age. If such an entry is submitted, it will be deleted on request.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
